The db San Antonio has undergone a major renovation in recent years and is currently one of the most popular hotels of its kind in the area.
It may not be the cheapest option in town, but you can get much more value than the few comparable hotels in the area. Probably the most deserving of its four stars among Buġibba hotels.
TIP: The sea-facing side of the hotel offers great views out towards St. Paul’s Island and is worth paying the premium for.

As you’d expect from the name, the Seaview Hotel Malta is situated along the Buġibba seafront and offers wide-open sea views. Being a fairly new hotel in the area, it is considered to be one of the luxury hotels where you can expect a modern design and a level of facilities that match the 4-star rating of this property.
Hotel rooms are bright and comfortable, the food gets good reviews, and if you’re looking for some relaxation time, the infinity rooftop pool is an excellent option to unwind while taking in the views. All in all, it is one of the best hotels in Buġibba.
Please note: This hotel is advertised as welcoming “adults only.”

Situated on the outskirts of St Paul’s Bay is the all-inclusive Salini Resort Hotel. In short, this is the perfect option for tourists who still want to be in a location where it’s easy to get from place to place but would like to avoid staying in the town centre.
Following a recent refurbishment, the Salini Resort Hotel offers modern rooms with a tranquil ambience as well as great facilities such as a spa and fitness centre. All in all, this is a decent option that I would recommend to family and friends.

The Bora Bora Ibiza Malta Resort is an Adults-only (18+) property that essentially brings all the Ibiza vibes to the island. It is situated in St Paul’s Bay, close to all the sandy beaches. What’s more, it’s the very first music hotel of its kind that has a large open-air stage hosting regular events.
The stylish rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a bath or shower, as well as tea/coffee-making facilities, a minibar and a safety deposit box. You can choose between a standard double room with a balcony/terrace and city/pool views or you can go for a superior room or even a party room!

Situated in the town centre and just steps away from the local bus terminus and the seafront, the Hotel Santana gets the basics right for a comfortable stay at reasonable nightly rates.
The rooms are modern and comfy, the amenities are decent, and everything is spick and span…all in all a solid choice for tourists who are on a budget.
Nightly room rate starting from:
The Soreda Hotel is situated just a throw away from the seafront and offers a good level of accommodation at reasonable rates.
With an outdoor pool on its roof terrace, a well-equipped gym, and a large restaurant, it’s a value offer compared to the other hotels listed in this category. Although technically a 4-star hotel, it’s not quite at the same level and looks a little tired in places.
Nightly room rate starting from:
The Ibis Styles is currently one of the best hotels with a 3-star rating, located right in the heart of Buġibba.
Situated close to the main square and seafront but less exposed to the nightlife in the area, you’re in a prime location for a hotel stay. Guests are treated to modern and spacious rooms and superb facilities, including the outdoor swimming pool.
Nightly room rate starting from:
The Mayflower Hotel is one of the newer additions that have been added to the (unofficial) border of Buġibba and Qawra.
Featuring chic modern interiors that complement the common areas and the rooms, the Mayflower Hotel is a great choice for a comfortable stay in the area. As for the features, guests are treated to a sun terrace with a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a fitness centre.
Staying close to both the seafront promenade as well as the local bus terminus (with several direct bus routes to some of the most popular sightseeing destinations), this is a great hotel to choose to combine comfort with easy access to public transport.

If you’d like to stay right in the heart of Buġibba, Pebbles Resort is your best bet. Situated just off the main seaside square, you’ll be in the vicinity of bars and eateries that offer a great city centre breakfast, a memorable lunch/dinner and sizzling cocktails.
Whilst there is still some room for improvement for the Pebbles Resort to reflect its 4-star rating, this is still a decent option. The interiors are modern, everything is spotless, and the customer service is excellent.
Nightly room rate starting from:
The Topaz Hotel is centrally located in Buġibba and offers good value accommodation with relatively low rates compared to other 3-star hotels in the area.
Receiving consistently good reviews for cleanliness, food served, and overall service, although the interiors are a little dated, and the hotel could use a facelift.

Refurbished in recent years, the Sunseeker Holiday Complex is consistently racking up positive reviews and is a good recommendation if you’re looking for a value stay in Buġibba. Given that the property offers self-catering apartments and hotel rooms, there is something for every traveller who makes a reservation at the Sunseeker Holiday Complex.
As for the features and amenities of the hotel, guests can chill out by the rooftop outdoor pool with a sun terrace, unwind at the indoor pool and sauna, work up a sweat at the gym and grab a drink at the long bar.
Since the Sunseeker Holiday Complex is situated in Buġibba Square, you’ll be close to all amenities, including several eateries and pubs, as well as the main bus terminus, which has great connections to Valletta, Luqa Airport, and other places of interest.
TIP: Request a room at the back of the hotel and on one of the higher floors. They’re quieter and offer better sea views.

Gillieru Harbour Hotel is one of the oldest standing hotels in Buġibba, situated at one of the smaller harbours of St. Paul’s Bay. It’s probably the best among cheap hotels in Buġibba, so if you’re on a budget, look here first.
Its location is on the edge of the main Buġibba area, opposite the small St. Paul’s Shipwreck Church and next to a small fisherman’s harbour with its characterful coloured boats.
The hotel itself is a solid choice for a budget stay in the area, away from the busier parts of Buġibba.
Hotel interiors are a little dated, but all the basics are provided for well, and rooms are clean and staff friendly and helpful.
Sea-view rooms come at a premium but are worth their higher rates. After all, why stay right on the bay’s edge if you can’t enjoy the wide-open views?
The hotel restaurant is decent, but you’ll have several other options for dining out in the area as well.

Although fairly new in town, Tarona Guesthouse is a great option if you’re on a budget and aren’t too fussed about pools and other amenities that regular hotels offer. Location-wise, it is situated on the border of St. Paul’s Bay, so you’ll be staying in a slightly quieter part of Buġibba that is a stone’s throw away from the bus terminus and main square.
The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a short stay (tea/coffee-making facilities, bed linen, towels and toiletries), but the interiors could do with some improvement.
Other features of the hotel include a sun terrace, table soccer, as well as the on-site bar and lounge.

Buccaneers is a budget-oriented family-run guesthouse situated close to the Buġibba seafront and the artificial beach.

Shamrock Apartments is a small family-run guesthouse that is one of the budget-friendly options in the area. A shared pool is one of the main advertised perks here.
Although clean and well-sized, the air-conditioning comes at an additional fee, which you will definitely need during the hot summer months.
The apartments themselves offer little in terms of decoration, but all the basics are provided, and you get value for money.
Space is a plus, the location is good (fairly quiet yet central), and the few shared facilities provided are well looked after.
Nightly room rate starting from:
The Relax Inn Hotel is a budget-friendly option for travellers looking to stay in the heart of Buġibba for a low price.
You’ll be staying right around the corner from the main Buġibba square and seafront, with plenty of choice for dining out in the near vicinity.
The Relax Inn Buġibba Hotel provides all the basics that you need, including a small rooftop swimming pool and breakfast buffet.
If you’re looking for more than just basics, this list may offer better options. It’s also good to note that if you’re a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back of the hotel rather than the street front. The location can get busy during the summer months and may be noisy until late in the evening.
Buġibba is a small, popular seaside tourist resort along the island’s northern coastline, bordering the small towns of Qawra and St. Paul’s Bay.
It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for budget hotels near the town centre and family holiday package deals, with a variety of 3- and 4-star hotels as well as apart-hotels and cheap/budget options.

Hi Jozita, it’s been a while since I’ve gotten reviews about that one but last I heard it was in dire need of refurbishment and wasn’t worth the rates charged. Also one of the reasons why I didn’t include it in the list above.
